january bargain buys

Hello Ladies!

So it’s January and for most of us unfortunately our budgets aren’t quite matching our waistbands (increasing!) following the Christmas splurges 🙁

This my friends does not mean that we have to give up on looking glamorous at all times though 😉 In a bid to keep up appearances I’ve taken a look into some more ‘cost effective’ alternatives that will not break the bank but allow you to indulge in at least a little retail therapy to keep up the spirits!

I am a huge fan of Benefit’s Pore Porefessional but in the absence of such a luxury in these hard times I went in search for something to match up to this firm favourite and found Catrice’s ‘Prime and Fine Smoothing Primer’.  At €5.49 it is a steal and I promise something that might find it’s way into your makeup bag as a regular! Next comes Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation at €10.95, this is a great dupe for the more expensive Lancome Teint Miracle. With excellent coverage and a great hold this is a really nice foundation that leaves you looking dewy, but without the oil slick! If you have any blemishes try Maybeline FitMe Concealer for €8.99. Two extra inexpensive additions to my list are NYC Cheek Glow Blush for a fabulous €2.99 and their High Definition defining mascara for the same price are an absolute steal. Finally a dash of Rimmel stay glossy coming in at €7.79 isn’t too shabby! I love this gloss as it isn’t too sticky, plus the colour Stay My Rose, is a firm favourite with my bridal clients.

So as you can see there are a few bargain buys out there that won’t break the bank this January!  Have you come across any amazing steals that could help us out in these dark days?! 🙂
