Or the route I love to go down is the craft gifts, heartfelt, time and energy always shows my mum how much I appreciate her. If you’re like me and don’t mind getting the place in a bit of a mess for a little while, have a nose at Pinterest I find it the best place to get my craft ideas!
Summer is here in full force, so it is time to use your bronzers to lighten the load in your makeup bag and ensure that you accentuate your newly acquired tan the correct way, without looking orange!
So first thing is first, you need to know that there are a few types of bronzers, which do very different things, so here is your complete guide to getting it right.
1. ) Shimmery Bronzers:
These products are great for use on the beach when you don’t want to use foundation, but you want to even out your skin tone and give yourself a glow all over. Use this lightly all over the face, to give a soft airbrushed finish. Shimmery bronzers are best avoided if you have large pores, so stick to the matte if that is you.
Using a large powder brush swirl it into the product. Tap the excess off, by lightly tapping the brush against your arm. Top tip: Don’t bang it on a table or hard surface as you can damage the coating of your brush and decrease its lifespan. Gently brush all over your face concentrating on the areas that the sun would naturally hit, as you want a natural sun kissed glow. You are ready to go! It is that easy 🙂
2. ) Matte Bronzers:
Would you like to have that contoured look? Matter bronzers will help to slim the face, make the most of your good features and help to disguise some bad features!
Using a contour brush or small powder brush, swirl the brush in the product and tap off excess as before. Apply the product just under the cheek bones, then blend upwards onto the cheeks, ensuring you blend well. Then apply bronzer along the temple, so essentially this creates a C-Shape on the side of the face. Then contour the nose to slim it down, especially good if you are going to be photographed. Then run the brush under the jawline to define your jaw, you can skip this if you have a strong jaw.
3.) Body Bronzers:
The liquid type are similar to instant tanners, they give you colour, coverage, but with the added bonus of a light shimmer, which boosts your tan and gives a golden glow. The Shimmer Balls are more of a highlighter, which will give you shimmer, but with less bronzing.
Liquid – Ensure you moisturise well before hand. Where a glove and apply all over the body, blend in quickly and in circular motions. Allow to dry then you can put your clothes on. Great for legs on summer days when you don’t want to wear tan.
Powder – Use a large brush and apply all over body, especially down the centre of legs and on decolletage.
Enjoy being a bronzed goddess! Any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
All the best
With such a huge choice when it comes to mascara it can be hard to pick the one for you. So when something new and a little different comes to the market it is hard to resist giving it a go, particularly if you are still searching for the holy grail of mascaras 🙂

Hey Lovelies! Happy New Year to everyone
I am so excited about the New Year and all the possibilities that lie ahead of us.I normally would set loads of goals and things I want to achieve around this time. Just before I talk about the future though, I thought it might be nice to see what I have been up to over the year. I was reading an article about positivity and how we should celebrate our successes, I for one find this quite hard, I always criticize myself and focus on what I didn’t achieve rather than celebrating what I did achieve. So this is a step to be less hard on myself!
So last year was a busy year!
I travelled alot, including a trip over the sea for London Fashion Week, where I got to see loads of shows Felder Felder, Sass & Bide and more. I was back to London shortly after for the UK & Ireland Beauty Professional of the year. I was disappointed that I didn’t win as I really put my heart into it. However I entered again and made the finals again, so there is still hope. I was asked to judge the Beauty Professional London Makeup Competition alongside two esteemed makeup artists, Gary Cockerel and Paul Merchant, you can read more about that experience here. I was in Marbella for shoot with Cocoa Brown Tan who have had a meteoric rise to fame since. Not surprising as the tan is fantastic and is brought to you by the lovely Marissa Carter!
I also got to travel to the South of France for Maud’s Wedding from Maud in Cahoots, which was one of the most romantic weddings I have ever been to. Talking about weddings, I got to share in the joy of over sixty wedding days, making brides and their wedding parties look and feel like a million dollars. I also got the opportunity to instil confidence ala Gok Wan at the Secret Boudoir, where I did the hair and make-up for almost one hundred and fifty ladies this year.
I also worked with many great fashion brands throughout the year including Adidas, Aria Clothing and Coldlilies to name a few. I also represented many beauty brands, including Buff Makeup, Butter London Makeup, Beauty Matters and National Beauty. Doing shots, editorials, tutorials and ambassadorship.
Writing played a big part in my year, the blog grew from strength to strength. I contributed to U Magazine, Stellar, Your Nails Magazine, VIP Magazine as well as a few Newspapers. As always I worked on a few tv shows throughout the year including Something About St. Patrick, Xpose, Next Years News. However this year was a time of big change as I stepped out from behind the camera and actually made some appearances myself. (Well that is if you don’t include the time that I was in the blooper reel for The Panel, I came out to powder Craig Doyle and he fell of his chair, was very funny!) I appeared on Xpose a few times and also the Today Show. The Today Show was really nerve wrecking as it had to be live and I was working with kids! Of course one of the kids Conor decided on air he didn’t want to have his facepainted and teetered precariously on the edge of having a complete melt down. As the saying goes, no kids or animals 😉
It has been a great year and it is only when I put finger to keyboard (the modern day pen to paper) that I realised how busy I was. I think because I love every minute of my job sometimes I don’t feel like I am working! This year I hope to do much of the same. I would like to do more TV appearances, writing, brand representation and of course make-up! I would also like to work at London Fashion Week. I am booked on something else this coming season, but am aiming to make it happen in September! So if you know anyone looking for someone pass on my name please 😉
What about you? I would love to hear what you have achieved this year. Is there anything in particular you are proud of? What would you like to achieve this year?
Happy New Year! Let’s make this a good one.
Lots of love,
