With Mother’s Day just a couple of days away, I hope you all have something lovely planned for your special Mum!
With so many lovely treats we can spoil our Mother’s with, from buying her all time favourite perfume, chocs and flowers. Or the route I love to go down is the craft gifts, heartfelt, time and energy always shows my mum how much I appreciate her. If you’re like me and don’t mind getting the place in a bit of a mess for a little while, have a nose at Pinterest I find it the best place to get my craft ideas!
Our talented makeup artist Lisa had the joy of working on the wonderful Joanna the day of her very special Autumn Wiccan Handfasting wedding. The makeup that Lisa did for this blushing bride was a natural look, and with Lisa on hand for her makeup Joanna was not going to be left disappointed!
Looking absolutely stunning and glowing inside and out and with friends and family not only attending the wedding but also taking part in it. Friends of the lovely couple performed the Wiccan Hanfasting ceremony as high Priestess and Priest for Jon and Joanna. With ever so delicate statement decoration at the wedding crafted and created by Joanna’s lovely mother, the couples theme was taken to the next level in such a gorgeously romantic way.
Moving from one ceremony to another the couple’s second ceremony took place in Zion Church, Rathgar, also decorated beautifully. Keeping in mind all loved ones and not wanting anyone to miss out on the ceremony Joanna made sure that nothing started until everybody was in attendance. Which to me just keeps the entire theme of the wedding going as family and friends played very important roles throughout.
With such a lovely day had by all, we here at the EFC Studios would like to congratulate the lovely couple on such a spectacular day!

Hey everyone, so I’m sure that like 90% of you were watching the Brit awards the other night, so what did everyone think?
As always at these ceremony shows there is never a dull moment, from the hot looks on the red carpet, the scandalous pics of the celebs stumbling out of the after party *cough* Ed Sheeran :-), Kanye’s performance being muted, and last but by no means least poor Madonna. Capes are always a bad idea Madonna, I mean even the good superheroes know this 😉 Read More
My first album was Madonna’s self titled album. I had it on tape, a black tape!
That was the beginning of my obsession with all things Madonna, she completely fascinated me, she was the master of her image and she’s has had many. Her intelligence and musicality, abilities as an artist have sometimes been forgotten, not recognised or appreciated because of that same image. Except to those who have worked with her or been a fan of her art.
So this is my first official blog post as part of the Emma Farrell Makeup Creative Team. How exciting! In fact, my first blog post ever. Things are heating up at Emma Farrell HQ and the three of us are really excited about working together. I may possibly be the serious one of the three but I am fun….honestly. Anyway, I am looking forward to sharing my experiences, thoughts or general ramblings with you.
The exercise of putting this blog together got me thinking as to how I have arrived at this point, so I thought this would be a good place to start as it features one of my Makeup Artist idols, Alex Box. In 2011 on a regular Sunday, off I went to the local newsagents and bought The Sunday Times newspaper. There are some really cool supplement magazines in the Sunday edition; one of which is the Style magazine. On this day, the cover had an image that captured my attention and imagination immediately. This is the day that started my pursuit of studying makeup. Granted, I had been thinking about it as something I’d like to do already, so perhaps I was already in tune with anything makeup. I had tried lots of things over the years none of which seemed to fit…see there I go, rambling! Ok, focus. The cover was a model wearing a makeup creation by Alex Box. Here it is, unfortunately I was unable to find out the names of the rest of the team, what an amazing job they did, I would love to know who they were. Read More
