 the gift of love

Ok so for those that hate sentimentality, switch over now! Although I love giving and receiving gifts, I do feel that there is an awful pressure on people these days to go all out and buy each other really expensive things. I have to say that the best gift of all is love. You can do this by giving up some of your time, being helpful or going the extra mile for someone. If you are feeling the pinch this Christmas, your friends and family will understand and wouldn’t want you putting yourself under undue pressure. So be inventive, you could make something or give them vouchers for a coffee date with you at a later time, the only limitation is your imagination!

I am sure that I will be speaking with you again before Christmas, so until then. Enjoy the buzz and excitement of the festive season.

Lots of love,

My Daily Beauty Routine

I just thought I would share some of my favourite products that I am using at the moment and do a mini review on each of them.

Nuxe – Nuxellence Jeunesse – Youth and Radiance Revealing Fluid
I am a huge fan of Nuxe Skincare, up until I received this sample I was a firm devoutee of their Creme Fraiche de Beaute Light. However now I have a new favourite. I love the way that this so lightweight and hydrating. I don’t even feel like I am wearing a moisturiser, my skin just feels healthy and happy! Also there is anti-aging properties in this moisturiser which is an added bonus. Usually anti-aging creams are too rich for my combination skin. This fluid targets the repair of mitochondrial DNA in our skin to reduce and plump up wrinkles. Formulated without parabens, 87% of the ingredients in Nuxellence Jeunesse are of natural origin. Sounds very fancy indeed! Looking forward to seeing these results! I have been using it for one week and love it.

The Bodyshop – Shower Gel – Vanilla Bliss
Bliss is certainly the correct word to describe this shower gel! I absolutely love it. It smells heavenly and sort of brings back memories of being a kid and playing with my “My Little Ponies”, I think one of them was scented…don’t ask me. Anyway they are obviously happy memories as I just adore this shower gel. It goes on lovey and creamy, but works up to a nice lather. It leaves your skin feeling and lightly fragranced without drying it out. This is definitey one that I wi be re-purchasing in the future.

John Frieda – Shampoo and Conditioner – Frizz Ease
I have been having a bit of a nightmare with my hair of late, ever since I bought a really expensive shampoo and conditioner from Kerastase ages ago after a press visit to a hair salon here in Dublin. It was obviously the wrong shampoo, but just had my hair in bits, I will definitely review it as some stage. Anyway, I needed to sort my hair out and I remember years ago using the Frizz Ease range. Well I am delighted that I did, because my hair is finally back to normal! It looks great and healthy and most importantly I can actually brush it now without it tangling! Just shows, sometimes you don’t have to pay loads of money for good products!

The Bodyshop – Body Butter – Shea
I adore any of their Body Butters and this one is no different. I especially love it after I have been swimming as it is uber luxurious and moisturising. I am hoping to get a Vanilla scented one next to go with my shower gel, I love layering up on scents for added intensity and really feel they last that way.

Pukka Ayurvedda – Firming Eye Cream – Organic Blue Chamomile & Rosehip Oil
I have always been quite lazy when it comes to eyecreams, which is terrible really as I have very bad circles under my eyes, so could do with all the help that I can get! However I have been trying to be good and have been using this eyecream. I haven’t made up my mind about it to be honest, I love it when I first apply it, but after a few seconds it feels like it starts to contract. It is probably the firming properties at work, but I am not sure whether I like it or not. Also it feels a bit on the heavy side for me. I am going to give it another week and then do a review.

So what are your favourite beauty products at the moment? Have you had any disasters that you would like to share with me? Hope to hear from you soon.

Lots of Love,Blog-Signature
