I remember once upon a time brushes were really expensive and you could only get them in high end cosmetics stores like Brown Thomas. I remember my first Duo Fibre brush from MAC Cosmetics set me back about €52 years ago. It was quite the investment at the time, but in fairness it has only just given up the ghost 8 years later so it paid off!
Since then a number of great value brush companies have sprung up including Sigma Brushes over state-side. It was only a matter of time for the flourish of new brushes to happen here in Ireland. Now you have a variety of brush companies to choose from.
If you are looking for a make-up collection for personal use, I couldn’t recommend Blank Cosmetics Double Ended Eyebrush Set with Case highly enough. These have actually replaced the brushes that I was using myself. Priced at €64.99 this set is an absolute bargain! Every eyebrush you could possibly ever need!
If you are looking for high quality, professional grade brushes, then try out the Elite range from Nima Brush. They are designed and manufactured to the highest standards. What I particularly love about them is that they are lightweight. You have much better dexterity with these brushes because of this, giving your freedom and flexibility to get beautifying. The brushes start at €30 for a set of three or the whole set is €105.
If you are on a budget, but want some half decent brushes then Gigi Pro are a good option. They are not the same quality as Nima Brush, but they absolutely can’t be beaten in price, twelve brushes and holder for €24.99!!! These are great for young girls just being introduced to make-up for their first make-up set, or for the student make-up artist that wants an array of brushes but can’t afford to spend too much.
Whatever your needs are brush-wise there are so many options available to you. No more excuses for bad blending 🙂
Let me know what your favourites are.
Lots of love,
